Three poems published in Gently Mad literary magazine

Three new poems of mine have been published in Gently Mad magazine’s third issue.

One of them, “Leaves Imprint,” is a tribute to my father. “The Light Inside” is about mental health. The third poem, “Small Stone Man,” is about a miniature inukshuk that sits on my desk.

You can find them online at this link as well as more information about how to order the print edition.

Music is a theme in all three poems, as it was in my book Stories in the Key of Song (Black Moss Press, 2024). I just can’t get the music out of my head.

I will be reading from my work at Indigo in Tecumseh on Saturday, Aug. 23 between noon and 3 p.m., along with other contributors to the issue. There will also be a book launch at the same location on Friday, Aug. 22 between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m.

If you can make it, I would love to see you.

Thanks for reading.
